Native in Glen Iris
The brief was to soften the square and angular features of the house, using native and other hardy water saving plants in large beds with an open lawn.
We built the deck and left it unstained so it would naturally grey and create a link to the free flowing garden beds of native plants. We edged the beds with metal edge, in a soft curved form that highlights the lush green lawn.
Bucking the current trend for tightly clipped ball shaped shrubs, the client prefers the softer and natural look of the native shrubs.
